Joy of the Lord - Pastor Sam Makanju — Pastor Sam Makanju
of God can declare that there will be no rain even without the Holy Spirit. I don't know if you're getting what I'm saying. He has that authority. So, please, be careful of what you say. If a man of God is misbehaving, no problem, pray for him. If you pray more than you criticize, maybe this men would have been changed. They would have changed. But, you know, we are we are too loud in the physical, but we are silent in the spirit realm. Hallelujah. Uh tell your neighbor say, "Soro soke nu omi." And it's not a bass lung. It's not a bass lung. We have been using it before they start using it. Do you understand? Tell your neighbor, "Soro soke nu omi." Hm, ma se dake. Do you understand? Don't keep quiet. Don't keep. Many of you you are shy to say it now, but outside you can say it. You can use it on your status, have you? Hein? Hallelujah. Amen. And then the next thing is another wonderful session that we are going to now. We're going to be talking about joy. The joy of the Lord. Hallelujah. I'm happy already. Amen. After that, don't worry. We're going to do some demonstrations and then um we're going to we're going to look into some things. Um you know, when I I said this on Sunday, I was privileged to take life class and preach at the Spring Seraphic Church this last Sunday. And I was able to say this, and I want to say it again. And when I came back from service then, I only planned to leave, to be in Akure for three days by my own human plan. I and from there I would move to another city, and from there I could come back to Akure, and then do all the parking and Vamus. Yeah, Vamus is an English word. Hallelujah. Amen. And Vamus. But, my three days in Akure became 5 months. I came back in Akure, I stayed in September, October, November, December, and January. So, I stayed for 5 months in Pastor's house. Now, every day they feed me. Now, you know what it takes to feed somebody like me. Hallelujah. You know what it takes. Now, sometimes I look at myself, I say, "Ah, the food I eat." But then, when I calculate it sometimes, it's close to 1,000. So, if you are feeding me for 1,000 per day, that's 30,000 in a month. Ah, okay. You don't know. Amen. Amen. And those times I was not even fasting. Ah, I wasn't. So, I ate. I ate. And whenever we eat, especially when my partner, I have a partner, when that my partner is there, ah, if the Lord gives you two of us as a twin, you sure I go and tie your bed very well. Hallelujah. Especially when two of us are together. When we are separate, we might not eat very well. But when we are together, you know, iron sharpen iron. Hm. Hm. Hallelujah. Amen. And then we'll do we eat. We eat spiritual food. We eat physical food. Without questions. We do a lot of things. We'll be corrected. You know, we learned so many things. We learned parenting. And we saw the way Demi and Zoe deal with us. Carry them, and I was like, oh boy. Shall we not go and do Reverend Father like this? With all these things, Hallelujah. But, you know, we were able to see a beauty family, a beauty family that we can relate with. Somebody we can run to in the time of trouble, somebody we can run to in the time of joy, somebody that we can call upon at any time, who can always respond. And he's no other person but Pastor Sam Makoju. Ah Hallelujah. And um He's um By the grace of God He is uh the lead pastor, the founder, and the presiding pastor of this Spring Seraphic Church at Labuga here. Um for many of you that will be coming over to Akure for visitation, please come around if you are in Akure and you don't have a church, you are going out and out, please go there. I recommend it. I endorse Hallelujah. If you do evangelism, you need a church where people can go and um you can have a blend of both the old and the young. You know, there are churches that when you go there, old people cannot go. Do you understand? There are churches that young people cannot go. We can recommend. Hallelujah. I endorse. I endorse. Hallelujah. Do you endorse, too? Do you receive my endorsement? Hallelujah. Amen. It's a church that is uh that is thriving. It's a church that you are there, you are blessed. Um I'm not saying this because Pastor is here. Those who know me know that me, we are a k k k, we want to say that, we say it in your presence. That's the way believers should live. Whatsoever you can say at the presence of somebody, don't say it when they're not there. Hallelujah. And I'm going to be bringing pastor forward to lead us in this teaching, Joy of the Lord. Please, with a standing ovation, and a clapping ovation. If possible, a shout ovation. Please welcome pastor to the podium. Hallelujah. Please can the technical help us with this. I I hardly had word from of what you would say. I don't know if you can help us increase. In fact, when Pastor was leading us in prayer, I I had the keyboard more than what he was saying. I couldn't even hear his tongue. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Can we celebrate Jesus one more time? Hallelujah. It's sung together. It's a very simple song, but I want to sing it allartedly uh with joy in our hearts. Don't mind my key. Yes. The keyboard is I will give you key. Just follow the key. Hallelujah. The spirit is moving. He will lead the song. All over the world as a prophet said it would be. All over the world as the water covers the sea. Now let me have us let me know it's a very simple song. You will learn it and we'll sing it together. All all over the world, the spirit is moving. Uh-huh, better. Thank you. Thank you, sir. All over the world as a prophet said it would be. All over the world, there's a mighty revelation of the glory of the Lord, as the water covers the sea. If you believe, you believe that song. In short, hallelujah. Now, I can see and unfolding of God's will in the lives of men in this season. I can see men rising to do the building of the Father. I can see what the prophet prophesied, what the prophet looked into, what the prophet said would come to pass. All right, thousands of years ago, what they said I can see coming to pass. And I can see the revelation of God's word covering the heads as the water covers the sea. If you believe, you will believe that, so that hallelujah. Now, I I can see and unfolding of God's will in the lives of men in this season. I can see men rising to do the building of the Father. I can see what the prophet prophesied, what the prophet looked into, what the prophet said would come to pass. All right, thousands of years ago, what they said I can see coming to pass. And I can see the revelation of God's word covering the heads as the water covers the sea. Remember the word of Habakkuk chapter 2 verse 14. He said, "The knowledge of the glory of the Lord." We cover the heads. We fill the whole heads, to our extent that the only thing you would see is not in the knowledge of His glory. Do you understand? Do you understand? O the glory of the world, the spirit is moving. O the glory of the world, as the prophet said it will be. O the glory of the world, there's a mighty revelation of the glory of the world, as the water covers the sea. Hallelujah. We're going to learn this one, bro. Even if you take us one hour, I will learn it. Just as I have one hour 30 minutes, please I want to just, just listen. It's something you can get. Thank God we have young people here, even in our church where we have old people. We'll learn this fast. Hallelujah. Because we're going to sing part two of that song. The part The part says, "Right now in this place, the spirit is moving, right now in this place, as the prophet of God has said, right now in this place, there's a mighty revelation of the glory of the Lord as the water covers the sea. The spirit is moving. Right now in this place, as the prophet of God has said, right now in this place, there's a mighty revelation of the glory of the Lord. As the water covers the sea. Can you sing that song and rejoice in your heart? The spirit is moving. The spirit is moving right now in this place as a prophet of God has said. Right now in this place, there's a mighty revelation of the glory of the Lord. As the water covers the sea. Can you lift your hands to the heavens and just keep praising our Father? Oh oh, let's keep him praise this morning. Let's keep him praise this morning. Oh, what a wonderful season! What a wonderful time to be alive! If you are not convinced. Okay, I want to be that kind of man. I shout, hallelujah. I'm so delighted to be in this meeting again. And you know, just like I told our brother, we are moving from glory to glory. Quantum leap. Quantum leap. Yeah. You know, anything you've seen about God's conference in time past or today is is little compared to what you will see. Hallelujah. Men will fly in from all over the nations to attend God's conference. I am telling you what the Lord has said. Are you getting what I'm saying now? So, just watch and see. If the Lord tarry, men will come from far and near to attend this meeting because this meeting is a meeting where men will be fired up for the things of God. It's a meeting where you come to keep social contact. It's a meeting we do because we just want to do another thing. It's a meeting we do because we want to fire men into destiny. There's something God has in mind for you. And even though you are doing them, you come here to receive another fire so that you can do it better, so that you can do it with tenacity and with vigor. Hallelujah. So that you won't lose steam and you won't lose zeal. Amen. By the grace of God, the theme for this year is strength. Say, strength. You know, when I was coming, I I felt in my heart we need to pray today. And thank God when I stepped in, I met our brother leading us in prayer. Please celebrate my dear brother and son, Bro Caleb and Decency. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Don't mind me, it's older than me. Don't mind me that I call him son. Amen. Now, let's quickly open our Bible to Psalms 80. I know I'm going to be speaking on the joy of the Lord. But I I just want to speak as the Lord will enable me now. One other thing the Lord told me in this meeting is that there's going to be an exchange of burden. Please, fellow. There's going to be an exchange of burden. God doesn't leave men empty. Such that in Matthew 11 verse 28, when Jesus made an invitation and said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Now, if you have stopped there, you will think God will just say, "No problem. Come with your burden. I'll take the burden and you will rest." But you now went to verse 29. He said, "Learn of me." Discipleship. We always like experiencing verse 28 of Matthew 11. But many of us don't want to experience verse 29 of Matthew 11. Learn of me. I have taken away your burden. Now, put on you my yoke. Because my yoke is easy and my burden is what? It's light. My burden is not grievous. The intention of my burden is not to destroy you. The intention of my burden is to make you better. So, one of the things that will be doing in this meeting is that there will be an exchange. It's going to take away the burden that has been on you that was not his. The burden that have been there due to mistakes of the past. The burden that have been there due to things that you've done. The burden that have been there due to things done to you. The burden that have been there due to disappointment and offenses. The burden that have been there due to the situation around you. The God is going to take away those burden. He's going to shift your focus from those burden. Then is going to give you his own burden. So you are not promising that you will live here burdenless. The only thing is that I'm promising you, you will live here with a new burden and that burden is the lost burden. Are you getting what I'm saying? You will live here with a burden that is the Lord's. So it's that if your prayer life had been muted before, if your prayer life had been paused before, you're going to leave here with the strength of prayer. You're going to leave here with the vigor of prayer. You're going to leave here with the vigor for service. You're going to leave here with the vigor for ministry. And we mention ministry, we're not saying just Miss Church. The function of the pastor, the evangelist, the prophet, the apostle and the teacher is to raise you for the work of ministry. Are you getting what I'm saying? They are they are works to be done so that the body can be edified. The reason why the body is not been edified is because the the ministers are not been equipped. So the idea of this meeting now, what God will be doing this meeting is to bring about an extension of that burden that you will live here such that that which had been weighing you down will be lifted and God will give you a burden. But this burden is not going to weigh you down, it's going to drive you. A burden that drives. A burden that sets a man in motion. A burden that makes a man to pray. Hebrews 5:7 scripture told us that Jesus, in the day of His flesh, made offer prayers and supplications with strong cries and tears. Jesus, the Son of God, prayed with strong cries and and and what? And tears. Look, that crying and tear did not come from anywhere. It came because there was a burden. There was a burden. He was carrying a burden in his heart, the sad mention of the word. He was seeing the picture of that which will happen at Golgotha. And he went to the place of prayer with that burden. The reason why you pray your kind of prayer is because you are not carrying the burden. If something they chase you, you will run. Halleluyah. The reason why you are running is because nothing is chasing you. And but today, you will catch something and you will be on the run. And it seems you are afraid. I say you will be on the run. That's what God want to do. He want to search you in emotion on the run. That you will live here and the next thing you just go and open your diary. Yes. As I'm really saying it, I'm seeing it in my heart. You open your diary and you remember the things God has told you to do. And how can God talk to this girl in 70, 2018, 2019? What have I done about them? I've not done anything. And you're like, "Ah, no. I need to start taking steps now." And there is a supply of strength for you to take that step. That is happening to someone here. Are you getting what I'm saying now? That you will go back home and you will open your books. The books where you've written your vision, where you've written the things that God has told you to do, where you've written things that God showed you that you will become. But here you are, two years down the line, you are becoming nothing. And when you open the book and you can see, you say, "No, I'm going to pursue until I become like this." I'm going to keep building until I'm changed to become this which the Lord has shown me. That will be your testimony. When you are coming next year, I believe the Lord, many of us will come with our books. Are you getting what I'm saying now? Written by us. Not because we want to make a name, but because the Lord wants there's a book, there's a message on the inside of you. God wants your generation to hear. You must preach it. Are you following? Some of us will come with our albums. And not because we just want to make names. You know, many people think that if a young man writes books, or if a young man sings or release an album, he's been ambitious. There are people who have been ambitious. But there are men who are on motion. There is not ambition that is driving them, it's vision. Say vision. Vision is driving them. Are you getting what I'm saying? Vision is driving them. Why? Because the message they want to pass out their generation needs it. When I wrote my first book, I was asking myself, "What do I know?" God said, "You had an experience of 5 years when it comes to relationship, put it in a book." I didn't know the book would be that useful.…
