Hymn xxviii – AS the elephant wakes in the forest — we wake and lift our hands | C&S English Hymnary

As the elephant wakes in the forest — we wake and lift our hands In prayer, that it may go well, Father, As the buffalo wakes in the grassland — we wake and lift our hands, In prayer, that it may go well, Father, We lift our hands in prayer to the Lord of Heaven, Almighty God, come and hear us The world keeps turning round and round, Let it turn to good for us, That we may have money in hand — that we may have many children, That we may build house upon house — that we may live in peace, That every good thing may reach us all, That the world may not find us in debt — Holy King, Almighty God, come and hear us. SO BE IT
