THE SIGNS OF THE REVIVAL — Pastor Segun Michael

A passionate sermon urging believers to build spiritual altars around God's Word so its power endures and prepares the church for revival.

THE SIGNS OF THE REVIVAL — Pastor Segun Michael
For the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart. As we are being transformed into the likeness of the Master by the working of the Spirit within us and have been made ready for the coming revival, this message is brought to you from the altar of Grace for All Men International. This is the key of our deliverance. Sing it from your heart. Come, come, come, Holy One, come, come. We wait, we wait for you to come. Hallelujah. Once again, can you beckon on God and say, "Father, we are here for you. Please come to us tonight." Can you speak to Him and say, "Lord, I wait on you. I request your presence in this place. Come to me by your Spirit and come to me by your Word." Can you speak to the Lord? Can you express your desire tonight as you raise your voice and say, "Father, tonight without your help, we cannot understand your Word. Tonight without your Spirit, we cannot receive the ability to do it." Is someone crying out to God from his or her heart there? Lord, we ask your message will come to us. Thank you, Father. In Jesus name, we have prayed. Be seated in a moment. God bless you. Hallelujah. Amen. Uh tonight, I will not be able to stay long in teaching because I want the Word of God servant to reach out to us quickly without being in haste. Amen. Actually, I wanted to take a teaching before the servant of God, Pastor Shegun Michael comes to comes on to bring us the Word of God. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. But I we are constrained by time. So, as a result of that, I will I will postpone my own teaching to another time. Amen. I have said that I want you to understand something. Amen. Are you here? Now, we bless God for yesterday's Word from God's servant, Reverend Tola. How many of you are blessed yesterday? Celebrate Jesus if you are blessed. You can do better than you are doing. Amen. It was a a massive one yesterday and I want to come in a form of a review tonight so that we open our understanding more about those things that the Lord has communicated to us. Are you with me? Amen. Those things that the Lord has communicated to us. Now, now, I want you to take note of something. Hebrews chapter 2. Let's open our Bible to the book of Hebrews chapter 2. And let's see the Word of God from verse 1 there. Then from there we go on. Amen. Amen. Now, the Bible says, "Therefore, we ought to give more earnest heed to those things which we have heard, lest at any time should let we should let them slip." Now, you see that word, "earnest heed" to those things that we have heard. They are not things that we have not heard. They are things that have been communicated, but we must give earnest earnest heed. That you must come to a place, are you with me now, where the tenacity of our holding onto those things is unbroken, is unbreakable. We must come to a place where, please are you with me, where when those things we hold onto them as a man hold onto the oxygen from a life support. You know when a man is on life support, if anything should happen, are you with me? And the oxygen did not get to him at that time, Amen. Then we are going we are going to lose him. Is that not? Now, that's the that's so. The carefulness that comes into place where a man is under ICU, intensive care unit, that is what we must bring into this matter so that those things, Amen, those things that are communicated to us, they will not slip. So, that shows you two things. Number one, are you with me? Over time, the best of preaching can slip if a man does not build an altar around it. Are you with me? Memories of encounters come to play when a man builds an altar round that encounter. And when you look at the fathers, Hallelujah. One of the things you are going to notice about the fathers is that everywhere they have a genuine encounter, they build an altar. As a matter of fact, that name we always call the Overgyre, you know we sing about it very well. The Overgyre is not the name of God. The Overgyre was a name given to an altar. So, so, you see, are you with me now? To every encounter, there is an altar that was not so. That altar, Amen, is a form of a container, a form of a trap that holds those things that were communicated by the Word of God to us down. For instance, we will never forget the communication of Jesus with that woman at the well. That well of Jacob, are you with me now, becomes a pillar by which we remember the encounter of the Lord with a woman. What am I trying to say to you here before the servant of God brings out the Word of God tonight? Listen to me. No matter how powerful that Word of God that you heard yesterday is, and no matter how great you felt under that Word, if you don't build an altar around it, I tell you in no time it will slip. Somebody, we had a discussion somewhere and then a question came up. And let me let me let me give that question here. How long does it take for a man that was soaked, drenched under a rain, are you with me now, to get dried up? How long? How long? The answer is, no, it doesn't take long. It just takes another sun rise. Are you with me? It takes another one. Now, you I know sisters who are here, a great number of you are here and I bless God for your life. Now, listen, when you soak a cloth in the clean in the water and then you put it inside out, you know, that that cloth is stretched before that, isn't it? For how long does the cloth retain the water? For how long? When you put it on the line, what happens? Now, at first, you look at it and say, "Can, this cloth is stretched." But in no time, the cloth becomes so dry that the trace of water cannot be found. Now, that what happens to a man when you get a mighty Word of God and it and and you don't build an altar round it. Are you with me now? The next time we are going to check your life, it will appear as if you never had any encounter with the Word. We are not victims of lack of Word. We are victims of lack of altar round the Word sent to us. Did you hear that? We are not victims of lack of revelation. We are victims of lack of altars round that revelation. And I I stand here to tell you tonight that what what converts the revelation that God sends your way is the altar you build around that that revelation. Amen. Are you with me? Oh, if you are here, let me hear you say, "Amen." Amen. So, in the days when God begins to communicate His mind to us the way He did yesterday, that was a very heavy Word. But all we do is just pray about it yesterday and we don't erect a mono a spiritual monument around that those things that God communicated to us. I tell you, in fact, I can bet it with you that if that is your case, those words that came yesterday cannot be found in your life today. As healthy, as powerful, as wonderful, as great as as those words, as precious as they were, those words that came yesterday, they are more than honorarium. There is nothing we can give that man of God that can pay for those words. They are too thick. But the fact remains the same. Until a man gets to a place to engage God, the reality of those things communicated will not be seen. They will only remain a useful information that makes a man an an educated saint, not a saint with encounter. Are you with me? And let me announce this to you, an educated saint can talk. Are you with me? But a saint with encounter are men that can reproduce the act. And Thank you, Jesus. One of the index, are you with me now, of revival is not ability to talk, but ability to do. Ability to do. Ability to do. One of the things that that that was the hallmark of Paul's journey in life was what he expressed in first in first Corinthians chapter 2. He said, "My coming unto you was not in excellence of speeches." He said, "So that your faith will not stand in the wisdom of man, but in the power of Christ." So, so, one of the index of revival is not, are you with me now, is not eloquent speech. As much as God will grant altars unto men, but can I say this to you, are you with me now, in the days when revival comes upon us, we are not trading words, we are manifesting actions. There is a world of difference between the leaf and the fruit. How many of you know that leaves can look alike, but fruits are different? And it is the fruit that gives the tree a name. In the days when we enter revival, it will not be the matter of leaf, words. It will be the matter of fruit. I I'm not teaching tonight. I'm just Hallelujah. I have few minutes more and the servant of God will come up. I trust God that we shall come to a time when we'll be able to because listen, can you can you just pray in some minutes and ask God to help your heart tonight? I I just want you to enter this teaching with a dull heart, a dull hearing. Can you ask the Lord this? I ask oh God, come on. You can pray better than you are praying. Just help me, Lord. My condition must not make me miss out tonight as your Word comes. As your Word comes. As your Word comes. Help me tonight, Father. In Jesus name, we have prayed. So, what am I saying? The diligence and the earnestness desire so that we can trap these words down and then, are you with me now? We don't just know them as supervisors. A supervisor will come, sit in the exam hall to ensure that people write exam, but it's not the one that gets the result. So, in the days when price will be given, supervisors don't have price. Huh? Have you ever seen where JAMB supervisor, are you with me now, was given the price of the best performance in JAMB? Huh? Huh? No, now. So, we are not learning these things so that we can become supervisors and then we go all around with long nose and with handy thick concave lens. And when you get there, you say, "I'm here to smell if it is revival or not." And you say, "Ah, no, they taught us this is not revival." Now, we are actually being taught so that those things can manifest from the inside of us. There is a burden in the heart of music. When God begins to communicate this thing, God is showing you a pattern. A pattern that you must build so that the person can manifest. When when Moses raised the pattern by revelation, is somebody with me? The person came to dwell. The person came to dwell. And the person that came to dwell, we saw his glory and then they name it Shekinah. And it journeyed with them all through their days in the wilderness. He said, "Build me a tabernacle that I may dwell in their midst." There is a there is Oh my God. There is a burden in the heart of God to move heaven from heaven and move heaven into you. That is the reason for all this revelation that God is bringing so that you can engage them by raising altars. So, you don't hear about holiness and then you just you have information about it. You see, most of the time, the informations we have help us a lot to hide Mr. Flesh. Because we understand the languages and and then as it has helped us to be able to manage us. You know, we have our vocabularies in the church. And it's it is good. So, it make us a chameleon. You know, chameleon does not have a specific color. Huh? Are you with me? So, it can change anywhere it gets. When it enters this place, the color changes. Only those that saw chameleon before it came here, they will understand the original color it brought. So, you can come into our midst and then you just see and we lay you and I do and I do and I do and just change. And you too begin to pray. And you know, it is not long because you can still be speaking in tongues now. How long? You just sit, you start all that for a while. You will mimic some. Sit, you start blessing, you mimic some. Stay with Brother Solomon. You know, that one, he used to his volume is full out. You still some. And then when you join it together, it becomes speaking in tongues. And to undiscerning, they call it tongues because you have a bit of zeal to it. God is not communicating to us so that our notes can be full. And the only way to convert these things, are you with me? Is to raise an altar. Stand on your feet. In few seconds, the servant of God will the voice of the servant of God is the voice you came to hear and it's going to take the platform. I like you to cry to God and say, "Lord, I'm empowered to build an altar around this revelation." I don't want you to murmur that prayer. I want you to cry from the depth of your heart to God. Lord, I will not just know the signs. I will be the signs of the coming genuine revival. Is somebody praying? I know I will not just know them. I will become the practical manifestation of the signs. Empower me, oh God, to build the altar that will convert this revelation to reality. As your Word comes, oh God. I I I wish we can express ourselves and pray to God. You will help me, oh God. Thank you. We give you all the glory. In Jesus name, we have prayed. How many of you are ready to receive the Word of God from God's servant, Pastor Shegun Michael? Are you ready? Are you ready? Are you ready? Celebrate God as you receive the ministry of my very good friend, Pastor Shegun Michael. Celebrate Jesus. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. We want to bless the name of the Lord for a great privilege to look at the Word of God together from wherever you are listening. We bless God for his faithful, ever faithful Father. Shall we pray? Dear Heavenly Father, we return all glory unto Thee for your faithfulness and for this great privilege you have granted us to gather wherever we are listening for to know, to see that which you want us to know about the revival in your mind. Thank you, Lord, for showing us this mystery. You have hidden it from the mighty and from the great, and you have chosen to show it to babes. We return all glory unto Thee. We return all honor unto Thee. We do not take this privilege for granted. Receive all glory, our Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. Our prayer, oh Lord, is that as you will be pointing our pointing our attention to some of these mysteries, we pray, oh Lord, that we will not be distracted. We pray, oh Lord, that we will not become so so full of other mindset that will take us away from what you want to do with us. Lord, we pray that as your Word will come forth, at the end of this session, oh Lord, the fire will be ignited in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you, blessed Redeemer. In Jesus mighty name, we have prayed. Amen. I want to celebrate God in your lives from wherever you are listening. We do not take this um for granted. We appreciate God in your lives. God bless you. My prayer is that as we have prayed, you will not this investment will not be in way will not be a waste in Jesus name. Amen. Please let us look at the Word of God together. I'll be speaking briefly on the topic, "The Signs of the Revival We Expect." The signs the signs of the revival we expect. Please turn with me your Bible to the book of Acts of Apostles chapter 2. Acts of Apostles chapter number 2. I will start the reading from um verse 42. Or let me take it from verse 40. Acts of Apostles chapter number 2 and I will commence the reading from verse 40. "And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, 'Save yourselves from this from these unto what generation?' Then that then they that gladly received his word were baptized. And the same day there were added unto them about 3,000 souls. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers. And the fear and fear, sorry, and fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together and had all things common, and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men as every man had need. And they continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, verse 47, praising God and having…
