seed of greatness — seed of greatness - Pastor sam makanju
Pastor Sam Makaju urges believers to honor God's word, reject joking with prophecy, and uphold reverence in teaching and worship.
The hand trans of the word giveth light, it giveth understanding unto the simple. There is a place where the undiluted word of God is shared. Welcome to this bringing up church. Who preach and teach the full gospel, who demonstrate the power of the spirit to inspire, equip, and impart believers for the fulfillments of the great commission. Come and worship with us. We are the burning ones, erats of a new dawn. Sincerely speaking, there is something you as a believer must have, you must have this reverential fear for the word of God. One our problem in the C&S church is that we don't have reference for the word of God. In fact, on every aspect, let me give you examples. Number one, when the word of God is being taught in the C&S church, you see people going in and coming out, people sitting down, standing up, people eating chinchin, focus when the word of God is being taught. That is the dishonorable. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. That's just by the way. Now, the second dimension is, no actually I was just talking about that. But sincerely speaking, the way we the way we we our reaction to God's word matters. The same way our honor of for the word from God You know, I've said word of God word from God. Now, word from God are instantaneous word, word of prophecy. If there is no church that joke with prophecy like C&S. I've never seen. In fact, we joke with prophecy to an extent that someone with jokingly be prophesying. I've seen it before. I was in a car one day. The leader was there, and we're trapped there. And these boys were cracking joke, joking, laughing, doing all kind of things. And someone just sign. And actually, the guy was, he wanted to turn into something serious. I said if I slap you. Remember? Now, what I'm saying is that we we have joked with the word of word from God to an extent that when genuine word are not coming from God, we don't take them serious. And that is why genuine word from God doesn't come most of the time again. Uh, Osaya Roman, Apostle Osaya Roman said, C&S has entered a new level of divination. And you know that divination, we still want accuracy, but the source is not is no more from God. So when God knows that men do honor his word, He will give them up to a little bit mind to do things that are not convenient for them. And that is why somebody will now say he enters EMI, and we say, "Etercan do." Do you understand? And, uh, that is why somebody will say. We now subject people to inhuman things. Things that are not scriptural, are why? Because when they don't give honor to what God honors, God give them up to a little bit mind. Brethren, let me tell you something. If there's one thing we must learn in this commission, is how we must give full honor to God's word, irrespective of the person that's giving it. Praise the Lord. Do you understand? If we are sure this is God's word in the mouth of this person, we give it full reference. We give reference to the word, not the person. When our pastors come to the pulpit to preach, we are referencing what in their mouth, what? The word. The world. The value you place on the world is a determining factor of the value you draw from the world. The value you place on the on the world determines the value you will draw. So, God honors. You must honor what God honors. God honor is word. Say, "God honor is word." God honor is word. And we honor God's word. So, you must learn to honor God's word. In your personal study, you must learn to honor God's word. In public teachings, you must learn to honor God's word. Give proper attention. One of the things that shows that you honor God's word is when you give rapt attention to the word. When you take time to meditate on the word. I'm saying this not because of me. I'm saying this because of, uh, uh, because of our life. Anywhere you find yourself, give honor to the word. Listen, I'm trusting that God will raise us in this breed as a breed of people that honor the word. Say, we are, we are, that a breed of people that honors the word. Do you understand? We honor the word. And should I tell you something? When you honor the word, the word will honor you. Let me say it again. When you honor the word, W-O-R-D, the world, W-O-R-L-D, we honor you. We honor the world. We honor the world. We honor the world. We honor the world. We must be men and women of honor. We don't take the word of God, uh, jokingly. We don't we don't trivialize the word of God. Let me show you what the Bible says. 2 Thessalonians chapter 4 2 Thessalonians chapter 4 verse verse 2 2 Thessalonians chapter 4 said, um Let me read from verse 1. Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not, but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully. Read that again for us. Verse 2. 2 Thessalonians 4 verse 2. It says, "Rather, we have been found sickening and shameful ways. It is no use deception." We do not use deception. Nor do we do what? Distort. When men distort the word of God, that is dishonorable. So when I start teaching the word of God to just fulfill my own end. That's what the son or the word. We don't look we don't preach, that's what I'm believing the Lord to us in this to be. We don't preach the word of God to prove a point. We don't preach the word of God to defend our grand. We defend the word of God with our lives. Do you understand? The word of God is not a tool that we used to back our actions. We back our actions with the word of God. Oh, we back the word of God with our actions. Let me say it again. We don't back the word our actions with the word of God. That means I did something. Someone said, "Why did you? You see it here? You see it here? You see it? Do you understand? But we back the word with what? Our action. That is our actions are in total replica of the word. A proof of the word. We don't use the word of God to defend our weaknesses. Uh, we use we use, uh, we use our, our life. We use we use our life to defend the word. Amen. Amen. Please, is that understood? So, say, "I honor the word of God." Say it, "I will honor the word of God." Many, hear the word of God always tremble. That's why you would go to some processes and you hear the pastor preach, and they would say, "You see them screaming." Actually, some are taking into excess. But you know, some, and sincerely, have been just been sincere. They are screaming. Some have been excited. You see them, the pastor is preaching, they are jumping. Some are shouting. Now, some are taking it to excess, but sincerely speaking, some, it's not an excess. It has happened to you over and over again. That's why when the word enters you, you will react. And the word cannot enter you unto it brings value on the word. In a meeting where you you believe that, uh, preaching should not more than 45 minutes, you're not placing value on the word. When your pastor is is still preaching 6 hours, you should try to tell something. He's added to preaching that to listen to. There are times you've seen me sometimes I've seen that. There are times that I've preached 1 hour, and I know how it is, especially when you're preaching on that on the the teaching anointing. It affects the body, you get tired. So, it's not as if it's easy for the pastor. But the point is that if you have an audience who all know the word of God, even when the pastor is preaching 3 hours, they are they are still open. I went to minister in one Tasha institution, and I was given the opportunity. I was still in introduction. They tell me 10 minutes more. Yes. I was still in. I was trying to lay a foundation. Just like when we I've spent like 30 minutes in a meeting. In a meeting. And I told them, "Please, you can take this. Take this to sleep after. Go to sleep." Till morning, they were dancing, praying, and doing all the things. We will see results because we've not given the word a place of value. Hallelujah. Praise to you understand? So, honor the word. See, honor the word. You're respective of who is teaching you, honor the word. The word of God and the word from God. Number two, honor who God honors. I will talk about two people in this category. Honor who God honors. Number one, honor your parents. Because God honored them and gave you to them. Called Sam. Jesus. You get what I'm saying? So, honor your parents. Very important. Very important. I learned this, this, this truth later in life. Not too late. What I'm just saying is that I didn't really understand what it means to honor. Honor your parents. Honoring your parents does not mean giving them money. It starts from here, the hearts. The hearts. The way you handle your parents. The way you defend your parents. The Bible says, "Happy is the man whose quiver is full of them, for he will defeat his enemy at the gate." Honor your parents. Yes, that is something you learned there when you were younger, too. But you must learn to honor. Say, honor. Your parents. Honor your parents. Not because they are good to you, but because God honors them. Are you getting what I'm saying now? Honor your father and your mother. That your days may be long. Is a is a short cut to long life. Listen, this generation is filled with premature death, sincerely speaking, because they cost the code of honoring parents and honoring. I should like that is something. When it comes to our own generation, If this truth is not proper to the word of God, many die. Many. God took this is an unfreeful truth of God. Do you know that out of all the 10 commandments, eh? In the Bible, one was clear, conditionally stated again and again in the epistles, honoring parents. You will never see God saying that the God that you will love the God without the heart generation. Because actually, some women, just one again, is, is believed that is one of the Lord. So you have the seed of love in you. All you need to do is to grow in that love. So, God is no more coming to the infrastructure to instruct you. Love the Lord and that God give you the do that. But when God to Ephesians chapter 5 or chapter 6, we saw it as an instruction that honor thy father and thy mother. And it was said, "That goes on to be blessed." It acts a promise on it. If you want to live long, honor who? Your parents. Honor your parents. Honor your very You know. People going to ministry. I learned it. Or until we go back to this foundational and fundamental truth. Honor. Say, I'm honor. You're my parents. So, honor your parents. Honor your parents. Very important. They are the first being that's above all us so much that He gave you to them, honor them. Number two, that you must honor who God honors. Honor the brethren. Honor what? Honor the brethren. Fellow believers. Honor fellow believers. Don't toy with a fellow believer. If you honor a fellow believer, you're backbiting about a fellow believer. If you honor a fellow believer, you won't sin to develop a believer. Please, do you understand? Honor the believer is is is an insult to Christ to dishonor a member of his body. I'm not talking about pastor now, every believer. Scripture says, honor the brethren. Love should be without the simulation. That's Romans 12. Honor the brotherhood. We must learn to honor brethren. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. It's it's very important. It's it's one seed that capitalizes our growth process. God, when a man gets born again, God honor him to an extent that God leaves heaven and come and dwell on the inside of him. Do you know God is not dwelling only on the inside of your pastor? He dwells on the inside of how many believers? All believers. So, the man on the inside, on whose inside God dwells, uh? Should attract your honor. Why? Because God honored him enough to dwell on the inside of that person. Please, are you getting what I'm saying now? God look, is should I tell you something? It's honorable. Imagine if the pastor comes to and says, "He's coming to my house." My status in the street will change. The moment they see us just step into my house, the next day, even if I'm still the way I am, and I'm not nothing I didn't get a new car, I didn't do anything, if I come out of this door the next day, everybody was not been greeting me in the street will greet me. It's just the simple truth. It's not because more money has entered my account, but it's just because somebody honored me enough and gave me a courtesy visit. So, also, came to visit me. It will change the perception of every other person. How much more the God of heaven dwelling inside a person? Please, do you understand? Yes. So, when you see a believer, no matter what the believer does to offend you, you can you can be angry at the believer, you can you can do all kinds of things, but you must not dishonor. Don't dishonor a believer. Look, it's the summary for a believer to take a believer to court. That's what scripture says. You know, some of this truth, very funny that even we pastors will preach the same truth. We'll contravene the same truth. For example, somebody swindled the ministry. There's nothing wrong as a pastor from subjecting that person to governmental, to authority of the church, to punishing, especially if the person is a brethren, is a brother. But it's dishonorable to carry that brother to before a magistrate who is an unbeliever. To now send us brothers through prison. Now, don't get it wrong. If after you have settled it in the church, and is a social issue, for example, an issue of rape. Issue of rape is not a church issue, it's a social issue. So, if for example as a church, you take that brother and subject him to disciplinary action, there's nothing wrong. If a social group or, uh, NGOs, even if it's headed by a Christian, take that as a brother to court, nothing wrong with that. Please, do you understand? So, we must understand the place of social justice and divine justice. But what I'm just saying is that if it's an issue or something that involves the church and the church, for example, somebody dub the church, it's something that can be addressed properly within the church, especially if the person is not becoming a wire, to a person of my defend church or the person is running away. Do you understand? If it's someone who's a member of the church, and probably it's got in their hearts, the church can tell him to refund every other thing involved, but it's it's honorable for a Christian to take another Christian to court. That was Paul's point in 1 Corinthians 6. Please, do you understand? So, we must understand this contest so that tomorrow you don't say ah, brother Sam said, Pastor Sam said, we should not take a fellow believer to court. And, uh, here he's not he's saying that a rape should be taken to court even though if he's a Christian. Social justice is there. So, for us, God has forgiven him, and we have forgiven him, but the government chooses not to forgive him, no problem. Let him go to prison. When he comes back, we'll take him as our brother. Hallelujah. Please, do you understand? Eh eh. So, so, we we you honor the brotherhood. Honor brethren. Now, let me say this just to our heart. Among the brethren, there are men God has chosen among them to lead us. So, we honor our leaders. Say, honor our leaders. Now, among the brethren whom God has honored, God now chose some people as honorable. So, they are they the scripture now says that these people they are qualified for double honor. Do you understand? Have you ever read that in the Bible before? Let me show you. 1 Timothy, Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Let me I will be running up this. 1 Timothy Let the elders that rule well be accounted worthy of watch. Verse 17 for us, 5 17 in NTV. The elders who direct their affairs of the church are worthy of double honor. Can you say that? So, that means you honor them as a brother, and you honor them in game as your leader. Please, I I I look, please do you understand this teaching? It's it's a doctrinal issue, and I think we need to explain…
