Led By Love — Prophet Cherub Obadare
Prophet Cherub Obadare teaches that true Christian living is led by love, linking the Holy Spirit’s guidance with the greatest biblical commandment.
We love you for your faithfulness. Your loving kindness on our life. We are grateful to you, Lord. Be exalted. In Jesus name. Choir, I like you help me sing this song. Since last week, it has been on my spirit so strong. You know, I I just believe anytime God gives me a song in my spirit, it's a prophetic direction to what is about to happen. Um to me, you know, personally, that's how I see it. So, I just love help us help me sing. I don't know the song, so help me. You are love us taking over me. Father, I depend on you. I have come be dancing you. If you all I have come my soul You are love us taking over me. Father I depend on you. I have come listen. How many of you are sinking into that music or into that song? How many of you as his love overtakes you? As his love taking you over? So I wanted you to join in that song. Listen. You know what it means to have the love of God all over you. Nothing matters again. This is the song in my spirit. Oh yeah. You are love us taking over me. Father I depend on you. I have confidence in you. You are the love us taking over me. You are love us taking over me. Father I depend on you. I am confident in you. You are the love us taking over me. You are the love us taking over me. In Jesus name. Alleluia. You'll sing it with full later. Awesome God, we thank you. Blessed be your name. We trust you bless our hearts this morning. You will increase us in knowledge. You will increase us in understanding. Our spiritual capacity will be built this morning. Thank you, Most High. In Jesus name we pray. Celebrate, celebrate Jesus. Hallelujah. I want to appreciate God for his faithfulness and his love over the church. Hallelujah. And all that he has done for us. I want to thank him for his protection over everyone of us. And I pray that um as the Lord has promised us, we'll all celebrate 2020. We'll all have testimony even at the end of this year. Our life will not be lost. Say it louder amen. I want to encourage you, don't panic. The Lord already told us. We are already aware. Listen, believers should not be surprised of anything. There is nothing happening we are not aware of. How many of you agree with me? Yeah, he has spoken to us. And when he has spoken, we hold on to his word. We are at peace. Hallelujah. He did not just speak to us. We prayed after he spoke to us. And so whatever it is that is happening, our confidence is in him. Hallelujah. Um I want to appreciate you all for your prayers while I'm not uh around. Thank you for your prayers. The Lord will keep increasing you all in the name of Jesus. This morning, we are going to be trusting the Holy Spirit to uh open on to us um a treasure of his knowledge as we look at what he placed on my heart. Titu led by love. Led by love. Can you write it down? Led by love, LED. Led by love. It's important you follow very important. Something is about happening to you because it has happened to me already. As I study, Hallelujah. He has manifested himself greatly in my spirit and I'm sure he's going to do the same thing with you this morning. Hallelujah. you hear people say things like, you know, I am led by the spirit. The spirit of the Lord is leading me or I am not led to do it. And the Lord began to open my understanding. Actually, I wanted to do something for the Lord and as I was thinking about, you know, how to do it and the Lord said, make sure you are led by love. You know, I wanted to do a giving and the Lord said, let it be led by love. As I was thinking in my mind how to go about it. And what the Lord will do for me after doing it. The Lord said, no, calm down. Calm down. Don't be a businessman here. Calm down. Be led by love. I heard him say that to me. And you know the thing kept increasing in my spirit, you know, just willing up and he said to me, say be led by love. And you know, I found out that that most often, when we say we are not led by the spirit to do something, is actually what the spirit wants you to do. And so you you you you you are in your emotions, waiting for a leading in your feelings. The Holy Spirit is not in the emotion, he's a spirit, he's in your spirit. And most often when he's leading you in your spirit, your emotions, your your your soul, your flesh always go against it. And so you'll be like, I am not led. Most often, what we call we are not led is a feeling in the human soul, not in the spirit. Hallelujah. But the listen to me, the Bible has made it clear to us that whatever we do, we should do it in love. And I found that that anytime you take a step as led by love, you are led by the spirit. One of the way to check if it is a leading by the spirit, if it's if you are led by love, whatever you do that has love leading, it is spirit leading. Hallelujah. Because you will see that the hallmark of the kingdom in of the kingdom of God of Christianity is love. All that Moses was trying to explain from Exodus to Leviticus to numbers, all he was trying to explain with all the different laws, the dictates, the edits, everything he was trying to do was to explain love to a people, everything. Love towards God and love towards men. The ten commandments was summarized into when Jesus came, he said, look, all that Moses was trying to do with the ten commandment is to tell you to love God and love your neighbor, simple. He said, all the prophet and the law hangs on this. All All they were trying to communicate to you is how to be led by love. Give me the book of Matthew chapter 22. Let's look at it from verse 35, very important. Matthew 22 from verse 35. If I can have it here, I will appreciate. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, saying, let's go on. Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law? Which is the greatest commandment in the law. Jesus said unto him, thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul with all thy mind, verse 38. This is the first and great commandment. This is the first and great commandment. The Bible says, if you love me, keep my commandment. Which commandment? The commandment to love. If you proclaim you love me, show it by loving others. If you claim you love me, if you say you love me, keep my commandment. The commandment is to that you will love God and love men. Simple. And so, listen, many of us, Christianities are so complex. People have um um make the journey to be so complicated, but it's it's just simple. It's just love. It's a journey of love. It's only in Christianity that you'll be told to love somebody that hates you. Go and check, there's no religion that says that. That somebody hates you, that the only way to help him is loving him. There's no way in the Bible you'll see that. I mean, there's no way in the world except the Bible. That you'll see that the only way to help yourself and help somebody that hates you is loving the person. And this love is not a natural love. This is the first and great commandment verse 39. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. That's the second one. Verse 40, very important. On these two commandments hung all the law and the prophets. On these two. That all that the prophets prophesied, all that Moses said, all that they were trying to teach to the children of Israel, the the table of stones, the the law, the law giving to the children of Israel, the civic law, the ceremonial law, all the law giving to them was trying to explain love all. All. was trying to explain love. And so it's important that we take this very important and check our love life. Christianity is boring if you don't understand love and if you don't practice love, you look like somebody who is struggling to do a thing. Yeah, that's what Christianity will become for you. It will become a legality, it will become somebody's trying to keep some laws when your law your life is not love-filled. Hallelujah. I'm trusting the Holy Spirit to help us because we're going to be staying on this for us, you know, as much as we're able to get to the niceties of it as the Holy Spirit was exposed to us. A case study I want us to look at, you know, um in the Bible is um Solomon. Solomon is a wonderful man and um his journey started by the writer of the book of King says Solomon loved the Lord. That was where that was where the whole thing started. Solomon loved the Lord. Let's look at first Kings chapter 3. First Kings chapter 3. Let's look at it from verse Um let's look at it from verse one. First Kings 3:1. And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he had made an end of building his own house, and the house of the Lord, and the wall of Jerusalem run about, verse 2 make it fast. Only the people sacrifice in high places because there was no there there was no house built onto the name of the Lord until those days. Verse 3. Solomon loved the Lord. Mark it in your Bible. Now, now the Bible has not started saying anything about what he did, what he gave. He started by saying Solomon loved the Lord. We don't know how he got to this point, but we know here that he loved the Lord. And indeed, when the Bible captures it, that somebody loves the Lord, listen to me. There's something we call the integrity of the word. When the Bible says it, believe it. When the Bible says and somebody hates the Lord, believe the person hates the Lord. If the Bible says somebody is so wicked like his father Ahab, believe that person. If you bring the person now to our world, he'll be more wicked. And so when they say Solomon loved the Lord, the Bible meant it. It was not like he loved like on the superficial his heart was discerned that he loved the Lord. So that was where his wisdom came from. His prosperity started from this. Because his wealth was not mentioned here. It was not mentioned that he was wise yet. The the the man that had the archive of the life of Solomon recorded by saying, first we observe before he came to wisdom, before he came into wealth, we knew and we saw that he loved the Lord. That was where the whole thing started. He did not love the Lord as a response to having wisdom from the Lord. He didn't love the Lord because God made him wealthy. He was already love-regulated. He was love-ignited already. May somebody catch up with the fire of love in this place this morning. If you are saying amen let you may be the loudest. You know what that means? When you are catch up and ignited by this love, I'm talking about. Nothing matters again, but God. You will see. Now you will see how the Bible show how Solomon proved it that nothing matter to him. And you know the Bible says wherever your heart, wherever your treasure is, your heart will go after. The reason many of us struggle to give to the Lord is this factor, nothing more. It's a love factor. Let's start from a woman you love. Brothers in the house. When you love a woman, you will promise her what you know you won't have in the next 10 years. You will give you are you are giving what you don't have already. Say, you know, I like I told my wife, I said, look, I I'm going to there's nothing I didn't promise my wife. Inside of me, capacity was rising because of love. And Solomon loved the Lord, walking. Now, listen, the love was what led him into walking in the status. The reason many of us struggle with a lot of things that has to do with God is our love, the degree of how you love him. Interestingly, the Bible says your love for God reflected except your love for brethren. God is saying, I can't see you that you love me. I won't see that you love me. The only way to prove you love me, because you don't see me, is to express your love to the brethren. Then you have loved me. You can see how interrelated it is. You can't say you love God when brethren around you are suffering. If you know how much I love God, well, we'll see how much you love God, not in how you cry, in praise worship. Your love has taken you. You are You are shedding tears is true, but listen, somebody is crying beside you. Somebody lacks something beside you. Listen to me, the only way to prove you love God is answering that person, not praying and fasting. Walking in the statues of David, his father, only he interestingly, interestingly, the Bible didn't say this about David. It was God that was after David in love. Now it was Solomon that was after God in love. Now, it was Solomon that was after God in love. Say he is only he sacrificed and burnt incense. Only he in his generation, because there was no house built to make sacrifices for God. Only him look for a place, found a place of sacrifice. Look at it. I'm not lying. Look at it. Only he. Only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. Only Solomon. God help me, love. Help me with love. Help me. He said, I believe when God, you know, most often, some of the messages I preach to you are messages God is communicating to me about the next face of my life. Most often, you don't know. Most often, I'm sharing what he's giving me to take me to the next face of my life and so, as I go up, you go up along. Because the Bible say the oil runs from the head. The Lord has been showing me uh lately about the next face that I'm about to enter and that the ministry is about to enter. And so, he began to show me that the the easiest platform to lifting a man is love, not fasting, not prayer. Is the understanding of God's love and the demonstration. Not the anointing. Holy Spirit, help me. Only he sacrificed and burnt offerings, burnt incense in high places. Let's look at verse four. Lord, help me. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place. A thousand Now, he was going to different places. He now went to the highest Now, how many of you remember when Joshua asked the son and the moon to stop at Gibeon? Gibeon was mentioned because Gibeon was very high, a high place, actually a high place. He climbed up to Gibeon, like how close can my sacrifice get to God? Let me look for the greatest place, the highest mountain. Now, go to verse four. Let me show you that he went to so many places, not only here. Give me verse three. Give me verse three. Go back to verse three. Only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high Talk to me in high So it means he didn't just look for one place. Now, verse 4 said, he went for the highest place. You know, the the reason Holy Spirit help me. Holy Spirit help me. Holy Spirit help me. He said the reason while our money, our resources matter too much to us, that giving it for the cause of the kingdom, you take night of thinking and struggling to debit your account and credit God's account. You know, that's the way I would put it. Many of you don't know that when you give to the kingdom, you're actually crediting to God's account. The reason is is not because uh you know, we we we we lack money is because we lack enough love to release our substances. Mm. Lord, help me. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there. For that was the great high place. A thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. Now, before this altar, he's been to several high places. But when he found the biggest altar, he said this is the place. This is the place. Let me do it. Now, you you was interestingly, I believe this this was why God spoke to him and say be let be let by love. There was no place where the Bible say he was doing this to get something from God. Check it. Check it very well. Most often, we lost our seed, we lost our sacrifice, when we put our need ahead of it. There was no look at it, there was no place where because the Bible is the integrity of the Bible is intact. If he was for something, the Bible would put it. He didn't say, oh, because Solomon wanted wisdom, he went to Gibeon. No, he just loved the Lord. Check it very well. Most often, we lost our seed, we lost our sacrifice when we put our need ahead of it. There was no look at it. There was no…
