Kingdom Concept On Attitude Part 1 — Prophet Cherub Obadare

Halleluya. You are all the matters. Thank you for your love and faithfulness. Thank you for your goodness and your loving kindness. We appreciate you, Father. Thank you for the gift of life. Thank you for all you have done for us. Thank you for grace. Thank you for giftings, thank you for privileges. Thank you for opportunities. Thank you for, for favoring at working us. Thank you for doors, that you will open unto us. We trust you this morning that you open our understanding. That you bring light to our hearts. In Jesus name, we pray. Give God a big hand. Give God a big hand. Hallelujah. Is that a big hand for If, If you look at the dictionary, that's not a definition of a big hand. You're not giving it to me, remember? Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Ah, is that it this morning. I'm sure if you were blessed yesterday by yesterday's retreat, celebrate God. Celebrate God. Hallelujah. I'm so excited for what the Lord is doing. And um how God is helping us. You know, I just remember this morning that January was just like yesterday. And see how fast the Lord has helped us. One of the challenges um that always come to my heart every beginning of the year is God, what will I tell your people? This is another year. Another 52 Sundays. What will I say? But God has been faithful. I was in Zaria many um last year precisely, I'll be going this year again. And I was to preach for seven days, every day for seven days. You know, most of you think preachers are professionals, we are not. You know that song, you say, "What will I do without the Holy Ghost? What will I see?" Hallelujah. So, I just want to thank him for that that he has helped he has given us the dorm utterrance to speak and to communicate. Hallelujah. This morning, we are going to start an interesting series. I really want you to follow. I trust the Holy Spirit to help us all through. I trust him to have our understanding enlightened. Uh even as we go, you know, uh in the cruise with the Holy Spirit. Uh to take us in today. I'm going to be teaching on attitude. Say after me say attitude. Come on say like like somebody that has good attitude. Come on. Yeah. Praise the Lord. Now, I'm going to be teaching attitude um in the context of the kingdom. Attitude in the context of the kingdom of God. Um the the word has a view of attitude. They have their concept of attitude. You can put it this way, the kingdom concept of attitude. The kingdom concept of attitude. Uh because in the world they have their own view of attitude. They have the way they see attitude today. Um you hear people say, "You can have sex with anybody uh as far as nobody is hurt." It is the definition of the words um ideology of attitude. You can do anything if no man is hurt. It doesn't matter how God feels about it as far as you are not hurt, and the person is not hurt, then you are good to go. And that's why you hear people do things like they call one-night stand. Some of you may never have heard that before. They meet somebody for the first time, they don't know the person. They have never met the person. They don't know if he's a human being or not, and they have a one-night stand with the person, never to meet again. It's an attitude. And let me quickly give you the definition of attitude. Attitude is the disposition of the mind. Attitude is um the state of the mind of anybody. Whatever you are doing now, whatever has become an attitude in you, it's um what started as a thinking pattern. It's a state of the mind. It's the composition of your mindset. So, attitude actually has to do with your mindset. The way you think, and you know, every man has um an attitude. Every man, either you like it or not, is either you have deficiency of attitude or you are um excellence as far as attitude is concerned. One of the things that was said about Daniel was that he had an excellent spirit. Is another way to define attitude. Attitude is the is the spirit of your mind. So, when the Bible say Daniel had an excellent spirit, it was talking about the spirit of his mind. He was so excellent in attitude that the Bible says um there were about four kings that reigned, and none of them could do away with Daniel. He was so excellent in attitude that um uh a king was pushed and um instigated to put Daniel in the den of lion to a point that the king wept that he did because of the attitude of Daniel. Remember, these kings were unbelievers. They didn't know God. But the attitude of Daniel was such a strong attitude that four kings of 55 years could not do away, Daniel. It's so unfortunate today that you even, you know, if you go to corporate organizations, people who are of bad and poor attitude are Christians. They are the ones that don't come early to the office, they are the ones that insult people. And, you know, it's a challenge, you know, when you call brother a brother, you call him patience, brother patience, or sister patience, but she's the one that always causes trouble in a corporate organization. We are, you know, we have been so carried away with spiritual gifts and you know, the subject of grace and all of that, that many of us have lost the um intention to work on our attitude. Many homes have been destroyed, many marriages, you know, many people come to church, you know, worship time, their hands lifted up, tongues is coming, powerful tongues is coming, men they cry that, go back home and check. Their attitude is causing a lot of problem in their homes. We have so neglected our attitude, even among ministers. So, attitude is the spirit of the mind. You know, the Lord put this on my mind to teach. I don't know who this is for. But I I believe God want to do some things in your life. You want to entrust some platforms into your hands, but your attitude is still a factor God wants to deal with. Listen to me, it is never a problem for God to promote anyone in ministry, in in career, in whatever faith you find yourself. But one thing God wants to check and recheck again is attitude. That was why Jesus came up with the concept of discipleship. The essence of discipleship is to make in them an attitude of the kingdom. Is to plant in them values that we, oh glory to God. Apostle Paul was speaking, he says, "I I I I I uh I found no offense. I I I finding no offense in all things and to be blameless that the ministry" Now let's look at that should be so that I won't quote it wrongly. That should be 2 Corinthians chapter 6. Let me show you very important. Thank you, sweet Holy Spirit. Thank you. Everybody say attitude. Come on say like like you have good ones. Say attitude. Say it because you have a good attitude. You know, it's a bad attitude when you say when the pastor says say and you keep quiet. A bad attitude. The Bible the pastor says say after me and you are looking. Hallelujah. Let's look at um 2 Corinthians chapter 6 from verse 3. Give it to me. 2 Corinthians chapter 6, give me from give me the King James version, please. It says, "giving no offense in anything that the ministry be not blamed. It is the reason Jesus, the first, the hard with the disciples was called be attitude. Matthew chapter 5 be is start with attitude. He didn't teach them about tongues, he didn't teach them about spiritual gifts. He started by touching areas in their lives. Listen to me. Attitude is the platform for anything you carry. Anointing, gift, potential, Proverbs 18:16, the gift of a man make it room for him and low, but his attitude will keep him in his in the room. I have seen talented brothers and sisters, but I can't see them again. Attitude. I've met men, met brothers, gifted after some times, deficiency of attitude took them away from the scene. No matter how graced, how talented you are, you can still fail if you lack attitude. You may not like that. It's the reality. And that was why Jesus took several classes discussing attitude. The entire uh book of Matthew chapter 5 was on the concept of attitude. Very important. So, we have seen that attitude is a powerful thing in everyone, very powerful, especially when you are a Christian. Have you seen people say and you see you see someone exhibit a behavior, and you hear unbelievers say, "Ah, but you say you are a Christian?" What a deficiency. Say, "Oh, I I taught you a Christian." Attitude. Listen to me. A brother had um on his car the sticker of his church, and drove that same car to a club, a beer parlor, and he sat down there. And you know, on the sticker of his car it was pasted there, living for Christ for for instance. I'm just making an instance. Living for Christ to the glory of God. Or somebody who a believer who opens beer parlor and call it Oluwa, Oluwa loshe, attitude. Listen to me. Listen to me. Whatever you are today, whatever you are enjoying today, is a function of your attitude. Listen to me. You can have prophecies said over your life. People will prophesy, lay hands on you. You are going to be glorious in life. You'll be have a beautiful destiny. If you are deficient, if you are a bankrupcy of attitude, you may never see the prophecy come to pass. Why? Because prophecy need men. God, one of the instrumentality that God used to actualize prophecy in the life of a man are men. There is no how God will do anything in your life without using men. Men are mysterious. Whatever you are looking for is inside of somebody. But your attitude will either take you completely away from the person or magnet the person. There are people who are come in contact with their helper like this. direct in contact, but attitude took the help away. It is not the it is not God. It is not the prophet who prophesied. It is you. Single sister, single brother listen to me. Marriage is not all about I saw, I see, I hate. The Lord told me 80% of marriages that they saw are head clear hearing are not walking today. Did God say it? Yes. Did he see it? Yes. Did they get married? Yes. What is lacking? Attitude. So they go from one prayer meeting to the other. They let them go and say it's my mother-in-law. Listen, it's you. The reason we have mother-in-law cases everywhere today, more than in law cases everywhere today, is because attitude, mother-in-law, mother-in-law. Listen to me, listen to me.
