Kingdom Concept Of Attitude (Yoruba) Part 2 — Prophet Cherub Obadare
The Lord says something in our first service, that you should just be on the watch between now and December. There's going to be recovery. There's going to be recovery. I mean you feel believe that when he says 18, he is committed to it. He is committed to whatever. In fact I am beginning to I am beginning to see the recovery happening already. Either you lost something this year or not. The truth is that some of us lost our comfort, we lost our liberty. Where many of us walk, things have not been the same again. Some people they cut their salary into two. They don't teach us specialists, many teachers were not paid. But I hear recovery. The Lord is giving you full recovery. in the name of Jesus. We started a series last week on the kingdom concept of attitude. This is an adage of the Yoruba that attitude is a smoke. Now there's no how you can hide it, it will show forth. It's a bad attitude, it will show. And if it's a good one, it will also show. It is important to look at our after the drama that was acted. A lot of us where we where we live, we can't tell people that Jesus is Lord. What is the reason? Because you quarrel with everybody. The day you try to talk to anybody, he will walk away. And so our attitude where the epistles people see and they read. Our attitude is the Bible unbelievers read. I said something in our first service. When somebody asks you, you mean you are a Christian? You should ask yourself question. What is wrong with my life? And sometimes where people see you, you didn't tell them, you didn't tell them your name. They just look at you and say you must be a Christian. They just look at you. The Bible will say in Antioch, it was gentiles, they were not Christians who saw them. When they saw them, they said these ones are Christians. They behaved like Christ. The one who are being Christian, they have like they are Christ-like. Where he be the Christian? They have the attitude of Christ. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. I would like to share some of the things. How many of you were in the first service, were you blessed? Some of the things I said I would like to just touch one or two. The first thing we discussed about which is a bad attitude which has which has caused before a lot of people in their lives, is being ingrate. Someone bless you and you're not being ingrate. You're so ungrateful to God that you cannot see. It's a bad thing to be an ingrate. Once you're being blessed, you cannot say thank you. Some people started that attitude from their home. There is nothing you can do to them that entices them. What some people say is that there's nothing that entices me. Listen to me, no matter how small something somebody does to you. If it's just that someone helps you to carry a luggage, learn to say thank you. Thank you very much. Many of you don't know what that do to the people. Some people prefer you appreciate them than giving them money. Just show appreciation. Appreciate your parents. So many children have gone wild in their life today. One of the signs of the last days is what we are talking about now. Second Timothy chapter three. Say, many will be unthankful. Is this in the Bible just like that? Let me read second Timothy chapter three from verse one. If you can read this in Yoruba or any version you find it, English version. But understand that in the last days which comes set in perilous time of great stress and trouble, had to deal with and had to bear. For people who be lovers of self, utterly self-centered, lovers of money arose by inordinate great desire for wealth, proud, arrogant, contentious boasters, they will be abusive, blasphemous, disobedient to parents, ungrateful. Always learn to say thank you. Look at your wife and say thank you for being a good wife. Look at your husband. Your husband may not have so much money. Learn to say thank you. Because of our time I will move a bit faster. Don't be a fault finder. Anytime you see somebody, you are looking for a fault. How many of you have had such friends before when I was in school? I have friends that when you buy something and show them, and the thing is something beautiful. As soon as she, you know, my friend, I just bought this car. Let me see it. You know that problem has begun. How much do you buy it? 2000. 2,000 Naira? You've been cheated. Let me see it again. This is not authentic, it's fake. Following week, the same person will go and buy the same pair of shoe. They always find fault in everything. There was someone who told me, you preached well, but your introduction was not well. Your introduction was not well. Whatever you look for you will see. If you are looking for good in a person, you will find it. And if you are also looking for fault, you will also find it. But the Bible says, why not remove the plank on your own eye? It's not a good attitude. There are husbands like that, there are wives like that. They don't see anything good in their spouse. The wife might say, today, I want to I want to make my husband happy. I want to pound yam for him. After you take the most from the yam. They say, why is this pounded yam not smooth? Who pounded this yam? The woman that spent money, go to the market, spend her time, you'll be like, can't you just say, first say thank you. And there are many wives that are like that. You don't see anything good in your husband. There are members who do the same thing to pastors. They always look out for a fault. The Greek work the pastor posted today is not the right pronunciation. It is geno school not galo. There are members when the minister of God his ministry, they go to Google. They will begin to google everything that antagonized what I said. Don't let me tell the person seated beside them. Let me see what I've seen. See what he's saying. Don't be a fault finder. Because while you are doing that, He said you that you are only you that you are blackmailer, listen, you should stop blackmailing us. At that point, we will start blackmailing you. There's only one person without faults. A man came to Jesus and said, oh thou good master. He said there's no one good except God. And so the referee, he doesn't see his mistake. The referee in football match And because of that he does not have you ever seen a referee that got a cup and become a champion? You will never see a referee become a champion or become a celebrity. Because he is a fault finder. Now listen, bami If you want to be a star you don't look for faults. You engage in the, in what people are doing, do it yourself. Encourage people. You try it, but you can do it better. Choose languages that help people. You don't tear people down. Nobody likes to stay around people who find faults. How many of you know that? I used to have a friend like that. But now we are together in the room. And while I'm chewing chingle, you will just ask me. I know you will ask. So, all of a sudden, I stop chewing the chingle. So, I kept it in my mouth. He said, where is that chingle you are chewing? I said, why are you asking me? You can't even offer me some. I said, is it the chingle I'm chewing? He said, yes. He said, why are you asking me? I said, I just want to know. I said, is it the chingle I'm chewing? He said, yes. I said, why are you asking me? He said, oh, you think I would drop into the room? He was looking for every means to hold something again. I said, I know you would talk about it. I became too careful. And so that I'm not always free around people, I am not free with. So, you are just careful that you will not do something, you just don't want to make mistake before them. God finders have sent their helpers away, they didn't know. The Lord is helping us. Number three I mentioned, I said don't be a betrayer. And number four, don't procrastinate. Do it now. Start it now. Let me see you. I'll start a Bible reading plan. Do you know when we talked about it, it's been a lot of time. I will start. I want it to be January to December. Let me get January to the December. Hallelujah. Amen. Many of you are started. You know people say the most read part of the Bible is Genesis. Why people start in January? New year resolution. I'm going to read it through this year. By the time it gets to February, they will say, when it gets to June, I will take it from New Testament. I've said that over and over. You have a plan, you want to have retreat with God. Let me start. Baba month is a dangerous month, so I will start. September is gone. September. We are in October. October. Don't procrastinate. Is it saying that procrastination is a thief, a robber of destiny? There are books that should have been on the shelves. Now it is still there, you have not written it. There are albums that people should by now be celebrating God that you have produced it, yet that album is still next year. Can you just start? Tomorrow. You sang it last year. This year you are singing it again. Start. I will recommend a book. By Brian Tracy. Eat that frog. I think that will make you to look for it. Where are we eating frogs? The Lord is helping us in Jesus name. Attitude is the lens through which we see everything. Perception. I did I did an analogy of two people that were asked to go and sell shoes. So the first person went. He got to the city, the small town. He saw that none of them were wearing shoes. So he concluded in his heart that my market is not here. Because they will not need shoes. They don't wear shoes. He returned back to the head office and said, that place is not a good place for my market. He said, why? The people don't wear shoes. They send another person. He went there. He saw the same thing. None of them were wearing shoes. He became excited. He went back to the head office and said, my market is great there. Why? Everybody needs a pair of shoes. Same situation, different attitude. The same thing that makes some people fail. The same reason some people back out. The same reason some people say, it cannot work for me. It is the same thing somebody saw. I said, this is the place. Everyday opportunities around us, our attitude will depend on if we explore the opportunity or not. Those are the few things we mentioned in the first service. But I'm going to be emphasizing on something called integrity. Integrity is the hallmark of attitude. Integrity is the hallmark of attitude. What is integrity? Integrity actually came from a Latin root word called integer. Which implies wholeness of a person. That you are a balanced person. If we check you everywhere, you are complete. That's why I love that word, integrity. You know, everybody in life have their best word, like their motto in life. That if you say this word, it's my word. Some people, it's love. That's their word of life. Another word you used to describe them is that mine is integrity. What is integrity? That you say something, what you say is who you are in the secret. It's what you said in the secret. Your private life is not different from your secret life. So, integrity in the Greek word, I mean Latin word means integer, which is which implies wholeness of a person. John 14 verse 30, he said, the prince of this world came, I was too old to complete, he found nothing in me. The devil checked Jesus in everywhere. He checked him everywhere. He used covetousness. He used desire for fame. The prince of this world came. But Christ was so complete. His integrity was so intact. He could, he could not compromise it for fame. Jump Job Job, jump jump. The Bible said, Satan took him up to the pinnacle. Fame would have made Jesus jump. That one man jumped before he landed. Angels caught him. He didn't compromise. The prince of this world came to check. But found nothing in me. Integrity. I love the scriptures. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Can you sing this song with me? Jesus must be honored. He must be honored. Must be honored. Jesus must be honored in my life every day. Whatever you will do that will bring this honor to him, avoid it. Please avoid it. Look at what Paul said, 1 Corinthians 11:1. Be your followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Ephesians chapter 5 from verse 1. Be your therefore followers of God, as dear children. Give me in the amplified version, 1 Corinthians 11 and from verse 1. Erfan. Chapter 11, verse 1. Follow myself after me. Follow my example, as I imitate and follow Christ. Jesus is our prototype. He said, when it comes to attitude, when it comes to character, Jesus is our model. Whatever is not in him should not be, should not be in you. So, integrity is the hallmark of attitude. Who you say you are in the secret is who you are in the public. There are too many double-faced believers today. Christianity has becoming like a drama, becoming like a drama, where people act, they act holiness. Sunday morning, Sunday morning. God bless you, brother. God bless you. I celebrate you. Blessing with you. The same person in the other your Monday morning. Are you crazy? Are you You know, one animal that is dangerous to compare anybody with is chameleon. Blends with every situation. If it sees black, it becomes black. If it sees white, it becomes white. Compromise. Any small thing, you have compromised. The Lord is upholding us in the name of Jesus. See, as I was studying, I discovered that the teaching of Paul to the Galatians about the fruits of the Spirit is the co-ordinate of an attitude expected of a believer. The fruits of the Spirit. Can we, can we look at Galatians chapter um um five, let's look at it from verse 19. Please put it up. Now the the practices of the flesh are Okay, give me from verse 20. Just go on, because I want us to save time. Yes, go on. But the fruit of the Holy Spirit, the work which is presence within within accomplishes in love, joy, gladness, peace, patient, and even temper, forbearance, kindness, goodness, benevolence, faithfulness. Let's go. Gentleness yesterday we were talking about the difference between quietness and gentleness. Most of us have been deceived, because we think quietness is the same thing as gentleness. There are two different things. And one of the things we were able to see is that somebody can be dangerously quiet. Yeah. It's different from gentleness. Meekness, emulite, humility, self-control, self-restraint, continence. Taking such things, there is no law that can be bring a charge, that can bring a charge against you. Now, listen to me. This are I said something, that gifts are given, but fruits are grown. Most are come funny. Money, you know, money, you know, heaven. You must be intentional to develop your character. Because it is not like prophesying. You just get the gift. You just receive the gift of prophecy. It is not like you have to work on your life. consistently saturating your heart and your spirit with the word. Consistently. The Bible say, as we behold Him, as in a mirror, we are transformed. We are changed into the same image in taggar wholeness where the enemy can't find a fault in you. As we be hoped, as in a mirror. And what is the mirror of the word of God? This year in no order. Now, many of us, there are things that were not like, you know, um ambiguous, like they are not seen to some people, but as you're reading the Bible, you came across some things like, no, this is wrong. Yeah. As you study the word of God, it affects the way you think. The way you think affects the way you behave. Um Many years ago, I read the book of John Mason. He said, watch your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. So, watch your words. Your words become your actions. So, watch your actions. Your actions become your character. Watch your character. Your character becomes your destiny. So, it starts from what you allow in your mind. The things you listen to, many of you don't know. How watching of movies have shaped our behavior. Subconsciously, laima wa. There was a day I don't know how my wife were watching something. And I said, when did these things started? That you have to kneel down and propose to…
