Intercessors; Burden Bearers - Bro Olaopa Olajide — Olaopa Olajide Michael
A teaching on intercessors as burden‑bearers, using the tribe of Issachar to illustrate how prayer guides the church through times and seasons.
move forward as we're going to the word of the Lord. Praise God. Praise God. Please can you hear me? Let's let's occupy the front seat so that we can hear clearly. Amen. Amen. Can we just bow down our head as we pray very shortly um Can we just bow down our head as we pray very shortly? Ọ commission Ẹ mimimo ma ba. Ọ commission fair o Ẹ mimimo ma ba Ọ commission fair o Ẹ mimimo ma ba Ẹ o commission fair o Ẹ mimimo ma ba Can we just pray one more time and say, "Lord, as we're about to hear your word, let's my hearts be opened. Let's my hearts be opened, oh God. Let's my hearts be opened. Let this word bless every soul. Let everyone have an encounter with you through your word, Lord Jesus." Thank you, Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. We are intercessors. We can do it better. Amen. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. All right. Good evening once again everybody. Now, quickly, um the topic before us tonight is intercessors. Burden bearers. Intercessors. Burden bearers. And I want to thank God for this privilege to speak to us today, and I also appreciate our leader, uh In this leader, can we appreciate Dr. Adichele for this privilege. Thank you, sir. Thank you, sir. Thank you for the privilege, sir. So, the topic before us is intercessors burden bearers. We don't have much time. I will try to compress everything I have to say in very short minutes. Now, as I was studying for this teaching, um it's going to be very unconventional because what I came across, what the Holy Spirit ministered to me to teach you about, the direction it took me to is something I've never experienced before. So, I have to I have to compress everything in very short minutes. I want us to read the book of Genesis chapter 49, Genesis 49 verse 14 and 15. Genesis 49 verse 14 and 15 very quickly if you If you see it, you can just read it. Genesis 49 14 and 15. Okay, I'll read from here. Issachar is a strong couch. This is King James. Issachar is a strong ass, couching between two burdens. He saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant, and bowed his shoulder to bear and became a servant unto tribute. Amen. Amen. Now, you might be wondering like why this particular scripture, many of us know Issachar in the Bible. We know the tribe of Issachar. If I ask you, what is what do you know about Issachar? There's something that everybody knows the tribe of Issachar for that we popular you know them for. We say that there are people who understand times and seasons and they were able to give each year direction as times and seasons. But there's something we usually miss about Issachar and that is what the direction we want to go today. There's a reason why Issachar was the tribe that was able to design times and seasons, and it was not any other tribe. Praise God. Praise God. There were many tribes in Israel. There were 12 tribes. There was a reason why it was Issachar that was able to design times and seasons, and that reason is in this prophecy. This chapter chapter 49, when Jacob was blessing his children. Bible says that he said about Issachar, he said, Issachar is a strong ass and he's crouching between two burdens. And he said, you saw because the land was good, he he became a servant. Amen. Amen. Until it gets glorious. That's why I said it's is something that I've not seen before and the Holy Spirit just just showed me. So, the Bible said when Jacob was blessing his children, he said about Issachar, he said, Issachar, you are a strong ass that is Issachar has strength, there is strength in Issachar, he has capacity. Praise God. He said, I want to let me read from here. Crouching between two burdens, I I will take these um figures one after the other. And he saw that the rest he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant, and he bowed his shoulders to bear and became a servant unto tribute. If you look at other translations you can just check other translations for better understanding of that scripture. So, when we hear Issachar most times we we are quick to say that Issachar is the tribe that's you know, understood times and seasons. In fact, we pray for Issachar anointing, we talk about them as people as intercessors. There there's no way you will not talk about Issachar in in our in our um engagement in intercession because all the things that intercession does is that it helps you to be able to navigate times and seasons. That's one of the things that intercession does. If you have engaged intercession for a very consistently and for a very long time, you will know what to do per time and per season. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. So, for example, as we are as a group, you realize that we have been we have been telling the church when we gather like this every single months we usually have prophecies, something to tell the church to guide the church that this is what the church should do at this time. This is what the church should not do at this time. This is what the church should be careful about. That's that's the kind of thing that Issachar was doing in Israel at that time. But I'm saying that there is a reason why Issachar was that tribe that was able to design times and seasons and it was not any other tribe. Praise God. Praise God. If you want to follow me carefully, there's a reason why it was Issachar that had that grace to be able to design times and seasons, and it was not Judah. This was not the even of the Levi because Levi was supposed to be the the tribe of priests. Amen. But we see that the Bible says that it was Issachar that had the grace to design times and seasons and tell Israel what to do at every season. And I'm saying that in the book of Genesis chapter 49, the Bible showed us why Issachar was that person because this description that Jacob was given about Issachar shows a kind of person. Amen. Describes a kind of person, describes someone who has certain qualities and abilities. Praise God. And the the the the the the topic that was given to me is intercessors burden bearers. So, it is because Issachar was a burden bearer, and I will show us very soon. That was the reason why it was possible for the tribe of Issachar to be able to guide Israel in times and seasons. Praise God. Just the way we are here, praying for the church, and after this after this gathering, we will go back to the church and say, "This is what we we came out from from our from our from our prayer. We have prayed as a unit. This is what God has showed us as a prayer unit." Then we tell pastor, we tell the church leaders that, "Oh, this is what God is saying to us as a church at this season." Issachar had that grace and it is because Issachar was a burden bearer. Amen. So, you will now read that scripture again. It says, Issachar is a strong ass, couching between two burdens, couching between two burdens.
